The Board of Deacons

Whereas the Session is charged with the congregation's spiritual care,

the Deacons are entrusted with ministering to the members

of the congregation and their physical needs:

  • A ministry of Sympathy, Witness, and Service.

  • Ministry is to the ill, the poor, and anyone else in need.

  • The 30 Deacons are ordained officers elected from the congregation.

Deacons practice a warm Fellowship Parish

Enrichment Program:

  • Members of the Board visit with members of the St. Andrew family. The purposes:
  1. To know one another better
  2. To encourage recommendations to improve the ministry of St. Andrew Church
  3. To elicit needs among members of the St. Andrew Community
