The Church Fellowship Programs....

are a wonderful and easy way to get to know each other.

Participating in the fun, as well as volunteering is a great way to bring each other closer.

We always are in need of new  committee members, kitchen workers,  table setters, decorators, cookie bakers, etc.

Presbyterian Women (PW)

is a national organization whose purpose is to nurture faith, support the mission of the church, work for justice and peace, and build an inclusive caring community.

Since our church was organized in 1789, Presbyterian women have been responding in the name of God to the needs of society. They gathered to sew and quilt and to gather boxes of useful items for the poor and needy; they walked two by two in immigrant neighborhoods to distribute Bibles and religious tracts; they held bake sales and craft sales to supplement their often meager personal donations for benevolence; they began instruction for the 'poor and ignorant" in Sunday Schools. These were grassroots efforts by women to testify to their religious beliefs, expressed by doing for those less fortunate. The need to pool resources to expand their mission efforts promoted local, regional, and then national associations.

Today the PW organization is governed by a Church-wide coordinating Team representing women from all areas of the U.S.A. Its responsibilities include preparation of re-source material for local and regional PW organizations, oversight of PW's Horizons magazine, presentation of the Church-wide Gathering of PW every three years.

The Cut-Ups meet monthly on the third Tuesday in Fellowship Hall, creating various items for the Rainbow Learning Center, shut-ins, Hospice House, and wherever a need is discovered.

Each month seventy-five to one hundred knitted hats for newborns are made by women of the church and delivered to hospitals in Brandon, Tampa and Bradenton.

You don’t need to be a seamstress to join this group of dedicated women. Some crochet or knit, some cut fabrics, some serve refreshments!
